Post Holiday Report
The good news is no one fell off any ladders this holiday season…… well, sort of. We were at my family’s house on Christmas day when we heard a loud crash in the house. It wasn’t Santa colliding with the chimney. It was Don falling down the basement stairs… rather, Don falling THROUGH the basement stairs. He went down to see the kitties when the steps, which weren’t attached to the wall, slid out from under him. (I doubt the kitties were still out for a visit after that banging noise.) Thankfully, Don survived with only a minor scratch on the shin. He ripped his new pants and got his socks wet when he landed in the sump pump underneath the stairs. But it has been decided that neither Don nor my aunt will be suing for bodily or property damage.

Other than that, we had a very Merry Christmas in Jersey and Happy New Year in Rochester. Check out our holiday story here.
I have to add, I feel guilty for spending more time shopping this year than with the Christ of Christmas. This was the first in many years I actually shopped in real time stores. I usually shop online where people aren’t breathing down my neck on the check out line or running me over in the parking lot. I experienced holiday rage for the first time. It wasn’t pretty. I was too busy with busy work that I neglected the greatest gift of all.
